Prior to joining Harris, Karstaedt, Jamison & Powers, P.C., Coulter worked for the small commercial law boutique firm Timmins LLC. At Timmins, as well as during her time as an associate at Montgomery Little Soran & Murray, PC, Coulter strengthened her skills and broadened her experience in representing small businesses and assisting entrepreneurs and growth companies in handling routine and complex legal issues. Coulter's practice focuses on representing emerging companies, including assisting start-up and small businesses with their corporate, intellectual property, real estate, and employment law needs. She also handles real estate and commercial transactions. At HKJP, Coulter assists the litigation practice group in representing insurance companies in cases involving professional and personal liability.
In law school, Coulter was a member and Case Note & Comment Editor of the University of Colorado Law Review, publishing a Comment in the Winter 2005 issue, entitled Reviving the Coercion Test: A Proposal to Prevent Federal Conditional Spending that Leaves Children Behind. Also while in law school, Ms. Bump founded the Colorado Law Mediation Program, which provides training to law students who then offer low-cost mediation services to the local courts and community. Coulter speaks fluent Spanish and is a certified mediator. Coulter is a champion of small business and, in support of that effort, has volunteered her time consulting small businesses at the
