Michael Brice Sullivan received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Puget Sound and his law degree from the University of Denver . Mr. Sullivan has been in practice since 1983 as a trial lawyer and has successfully developed one of the most varied and diverse defense trial practices in Colorado . Originally focusing on property and casualty claims arising from trucking, auto, home and small business situations, Mr. Sullivan has developed a number of additional specialties. He has defended owners and operators of underground storage tanks since 1986, is currently Colorado counsel for a major regional gasoline retailer, and is sought out by insurers to defend claims for contamination from leaking tanks. In connection with his environmental practice, he has also successfully defended toxic tort actions and cases brought by large numbers of individual and commercial claimants. He is also experienced in administrative and regulatory representation of clients in environmental matters. Mr. Sullivan has considerable experience representing defendants in commercial trucking cases. Additionally, he is regional counsel for the National Food Processors Association and as such, has defended many major manufacturers of processed foods in Colorado . He is proficient in the defense of psychiatric and psychological malpractice claims. He is also Colorado counsel for a nationwide food franchise chain and is the author of Colorado 's civil liquor liability statute. Mr. Sullivan represents and defends clients in litigation involving fires and explosions including propane and natural gas accidents. He has also defended many developers, contractors and subcontractors in complex construction defect cases throughout the state.
