Ms. Booker joined HKJP as an associate in 1997, and advanced to a shareholder position in 2001.  While her main office is in Englewood, she makes herself available to Colorado Springs clients who prefer to meet at the S. Tejon Street office.  Mr. Booker’s practice area are employment law and civil litigation.  She has represented employers in various employment disputes, ranging from arbitrations, state and federal agency matters, wage disputes, and Title VII based discrimination claims in both state and federal court.  Ms. Booker has drafted and developed several employee handbooks and guidelines, and has also assisted employers in investigating and mediating employee conflicts and disputes. 

Ms. Booker’s civil litigation practice over the past 15 years has included the successful defense of one of the world’s largest retailers in various tort-based liability claims, including premises liability, asset protection, and retail security.  Ms. Booker has tried more than 70 civil jury trials in her 20+ years of practice, and is frequently asked to step in and try cases on short notice.
